NAME
    Bencher::Scenario::DataThrottling - Benchmark modules that do throttling

VERSION
    This document describes version 0.001 of
    Bencher::Scenario::DataThrottling (from Perl distribution
    Bencher-Scenario-DataThrottling), released on 2020-02-19.

SYNOPSIS
    To run benchmark with default option:

     % bencher -m DataThrottling

    To run module startup overhead benchmark:

     % bencher --module-startup -m DataThrottling

    For more options (dump scenario, list/include/exclude/add participants,
    list/include/exclude/add datasets, etc), see bencher or run "bencher
    --help".

DESCRIPTION
    Packaging a benchmark script as a Bencher scenario makes it convenient
    to include/exclude/add participants/datasets (either via CLI or Perl
    code), send the result to a central repository, among others . See
    Bencher and bencher (CLI) for more details.

BENCHMARKED MODULES
    Version numbers shown below are the versions used when running the
    sample benchmark.

    Data::Throttler 0.08

    Data::Throttler_CHI 0.001

BENCHMARK PARTICIPANTS
    *   Data::Throttler (Memory backend) (perl_code)

        Code template:

         my $t = Data::Throttler->new(max_items=><max_items>, interval=><interval>); for (1..<inserts>) { $t->try_push }

    *   Data::Throttler_CHI (Memory backend) (perl_code)

        Code template:

         require CHI; my $t = Data::Throttler_CHI->new(max_items=><max_items>, interval=><interval>, cache=>CHI->new(driver=>"Memory", datastore=>{})); for (1..<inserts>) { $t->try_push }

BENCHMARK DATASETS
    *   max_items=1000, interval=3600, inserts/checks=1000

    *   max_items=100, interval=3600, inserts/checks=100

    *   max_items=10, interval=3600, inserts/checks=10

SAMPLE BENCHMARK RESULTS
    Run on: perl: *v5.24.0*, CPU: *Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
    (4 cores)*, OS: *GNU/Linux LinuxMint version 18.2*, OS kernel: *Linux
    version 4.8.0-53-generic*.
